That's what it seems like. If there are any readers left I'm back. Believe it or not this blog has been going for one full year. Of course we have celebrated, but we're also thinking of where to go next. If you have thoughts please share. Until then please pardon our remodeling dust :)

The Power of Words
I saw this picture...
On this blog and it got me thinking about words and how sometimes the right ones make the day a lot better. I wanted to share some words I've noticed through the blogosphere that well, now I'm on the hunt to place somewhere in my own home.
This popular poster says it all when days are chaotic {to say the least} I love pink but you can find one in your favorite color too.
This one is lovely and if you're a avid Domino Mag reader I'm sure you fell in love with it just like I did.
I saw this one here but you can find your copy here. Sometimes these words are so easily forgotten {especially when everything seems to be going wrong}
There are plenty more where these come from but just think about it... isn't it amazing how a few words can change how you feel or what you're thinking? So go ahead and find some motivating words to hang in your space.

Lovely and Letterpressed
I was visiting the blog Black White Bliss and fell in love with these wonderfully creative and totally chic letterpress buckles and thought this was such a stylish and innovative way to wrap a gift. Also if you're looking to do a gift theme for any celebration these letterpressed buckles would be a perfect detail to your decor.

Connect the Dots
This calendar would be a wonderful gift for kids and adults. You can choose to create the calendar image for each month or do them all at once. Of course we're a couple of months late but is this one of those instances where its better late than never?

Calligraphy Revisited
I am in love with calligraphy. Learning the art of calligraphy is yet one more thing I'd like to add on the growing list of things I want to learn how to do. Until I discover where I can take classes in my area, I will swoon over the latest discovery of calligraphy loveliness.
Visit the blogLove, Jenna. When you do you will see some of the most lovely pieces of calligraphy you'll want to have something addressed. You may be familiar with some of her work as its been featured in the magazines Real Simple and Good Housekeeping.

Invitation Eye Candy
I am in love with Elum. While this company is well known for its wedding invitations and more recently their wonderful letterpressed note cards, journals and the prettiest stationary sets I've ever seen, I have fallen in love with these wedding invites for their varied style, design and the unique blends of patterns and colors. Take a look for yourself. Oh and visit the custom designs under the products link and click on the full view of their invitation suites to just be amazed.

Let's Party
I love an invitation. It gives me an excuse to throw a party. Well as I made my routine visit to Paper Source I discovered these.
How wonderful are these invitations? You can run them through your printer or fill in the information yourself. What I like about them is they're functional, stylish and can easily fit into any party theme but more importantly give you all the right reasons to have a party.

Great Gift Idea
I think these stylish recipe boxes by Jack and Lulu are perfect, what I love even more are the creative ways you can make this stylish gift become a wonderful keepsake with these ideas:
If you're hosting a bridal shower send one of the cards from the recipe box to all the guest and ask everyone to share their favorite recipe. You can collect those cards during the shower then package and give them to the bride to be. She will have a multitude of recipes to try and all of them filled with love.
Another idea is to change the categories to things you love like "desserts" "cocktails" "dinner parties" "great impressions" "brunch/breakfast" and ask friends to share their best recipes for each of these sections like if your aunt's favorite dish to serve to her mother in law. Even if you're not hosting a party send them to friends and family and delight in what comes back to you in the mail. *This idea would be perfect for a housewarming too just insert the cards into the invites and collect them at the party and you have a complete box of recipes for future dinner parties and more.

Paper Flowers
Over the summer, while my niece was visiting I bought this little kit to make paper flowers. I thought it would be a cool activitiy and fun entertainment for all. Well, my niece was interested long enough to do the flowers but after that, I was creating them alone. Well, since getting this little kit at target I have seen more and more people using paper flowers and have noticed that a lot of events, weddings etc use them in place of actual flowers. Well, to add to this stylish yet crafty idea, I noticed this crepe paper rose bouquet kit at martha stewart crafts and couldn't help but share, it's perfect for valentines day, great for wedding showers, baby showers, rehearsals, or the wedding itself, and these look so close to the real thing.

Idea Catcher
Recently I've been a keeper of list for People St. Clair and all other aspects of my life. I think this Idea Log from knock knock biz will help separate those things I'd like to do for People St. Clair and the dreams of remodeling {painting} I'd like to do to my house.
Of course once I found one thing on the knock knock biz website I stumbled upon a few other things that well I'd just get a kick out of too.
11 Hours a Day Pad- perfect since work doesn't always end after 8-hours of service.
These Accomplish pads would be great for celebrating all victories.
