I haven't forgotten about my calligraphy features so today we're going to combine beautiful calligraphy with lovely greeting cards. This combination equals simply beautiful cards by the renowned calligrapher Bernard Maisner. Figments features a line of lovely greeting cards filled with swirls,curls and decadence that is completely elegant.

Its All In The Wrapping

I was in need of chocolate and as I was thinking about what would soothe my cocoa craving, I thought about some of my favorite chocolate places online and near home and as I visited site by site while munching on my steady standby {m&m's}, I thought I need to talk about Allison Nelson's Chocolate Bar in NYC. If you haven't been to visit them... Go. If you haven't seen their site...visit. Why? Because the wrapping for their chocolates is not only stylish but completely artistic and what better way to combine the two things I love....{paper and chocolate!} Once you see it you'll be in love too.

What better way to represent NYC than with the graffiti bars. Here's what is even better. Each Graffiti style is a exotic and delicious flavor like the Crash bar that is a blend of dark chocolate with rum infused ganache. {Oh yea, and you get some graffiti history}

If you're like me you want the gift you give to stand out and be unique. Here are some cool places to find hip wrapping paper so your gift doesn't look like all the pre-packaged gifts on the table.


This paper is from the wedding collection of Whimsy Press. With wedding season still in full swing, shy away from traditional wedding wrap and look at something colorful and fun.


Erin Ruth's wrapping paper is perfect for any gift. I saw this lovely wrapping paper on Decor 8 its the kind of paper you have in your house when you need gift wrap in a hurry {my favorite is jacqueline}.

My favorite wrapping paper is definitely from Heidi, the patterns are so fresh and lively, plus the color combos with the ribbon make the patterns stand out. Here's the latest additions to her collection.

Calligraphy 002

Every holiday season I'm commissioned by my mother to address all holiday cards. Why? because I have the pretty handwriting. Well, while my handwriting may be the most curvy and swirly {in my family} If I was to address anything else, I would love for it to look like the calligraphy of Anne Elser. I found the beautiful work of Anne Elser while looking through the invitation design site of Paper Doll Design. Beside looking at their wonderful invitation designs and the pictures from the bridal show they host, I was captivated by the lovely calligraphy of Anne Ensler and had to share. I recently visited the Binth website and thought how there are so many great things on their site and for you to have. Send a friend a creatively designed card. Purchase the cool memory cards for a little one's birthday. Really visit the site and find a reason to send something. I know the recipient will love it. There's something romantic, stylish and elegant about caligraphy. To receive a beautifuly written invitation or well-addressed envelope gives you a hint of what type of celebration to expect. Over the next few weeks we'll feature some lovely calligraphers whose work is totally artistic. Through my blog readings I found the website of Crystal Kluge and fell in love. I'm sure you will too. Setting Up Shop

Organizing and getting things in order is truly a tireless job. While we're almost finished we're also getting ready to launch the next venture. As we begin to slowly get back into our posting routine here's a lovely yet organized display of our favorite Russell+Hazel products.

The patterns are bold rich and such artistic impressions from JHill Design of her impression of places she's never been. "I've Got News"

Getting Married, Moving, Having a Baby and just don't know how to share your news? Get creative and dare to be different! Ignore the standard cards that don't really represent you and tell your news with a design that makes a statement. At People St. Clair announcing good news is my latest area of creative interest. There are so many companies who have disovered new and creative ways to say "I've moved" "Its a girl" "We're Engaged" that its hard for me to not share some great and different ways to spread the word.

Magazine Junkie!

Hi, I'm People St. Clair and I'm addicted to magazines. While I may need an intervention, my addiction is too deep to pull me from the loveliness of InStyle, Domino, Blueprint, and Martha Stewart Weddings. Something about a glossy picture with the right layout and fonts that just gets me all excited. Of course this is why I majored in Journalism so I understand how my addition and attraction to the glossy pictoral began. Now, my addiction has gotten bad. This past weekend I realized just how serious it really is. A girl shouldn't have stacks and stacks of magazines but I do! Just as I clear out all the magazines there are new ones ready to take their place. So you can see stopping is not an option so if loving magazines is wrong... I don't want to be right.

If you're like me and can't completely let go of your magazines before you toss them in the recycle bin build an inspiration board or look book.

I heart fonts!

Do you look at advertisements, invitations or business cards trying to figure out what fonts they used? Oh that's just something I do? Well, I'm not ashamed. I love fonts! There is so much that you can say and express through a font and when it comes to any event invitations its the font that says everything about your event. This font is truly one of my favorites. It is by Alejandro Paul and it will definitely make you want to invite someone to a party? You can find this font at Veer. Enjoy!
